2013 vExperts announced!

2013 vExperts announced!

VMware vExpert Logo

Last night John Troyer made a new VMTN blog post announcing the vExperts for 2013. I am honoured to be on the list again this year. This is a great community full with experts and VMware fanatics. Each in their own way, either they work for VMware or they evangelize it.

This year there were about 850 applications according to John and 575 made the list this year. Some funny things in the list:

  • There are 2 people named Scott Lowe, they are not the same. One works for VMware, one works with VMware.
  • The most common first name on the list is: Michael (13 times).
  • The most common last name on the list is: Smith and Brown (4 times).
  • There seem to be only 4 women on the list.

Tintri was fast on a first gift, a vExpert polo with your Twitter handle and the number of times you’ve been a vExpert. You can get one for free using their form.

For a full list on vExperts make sure you check the vExpert directory.

There are a few Twitter lists going on already for you to subscribe to.

A few days ago there also appeared a G+ community, make sure you join it.

To all other vExperts: congratulations!
