Last December I released a small PowerShell tool which acted as a data mover tool for Veeam Backup for Microsoft Office 365. This tool allowed you to move user data from one repository to another repository. Veeam Backup for Microsoft Office 365 also supports backing up SharePoint sites or Office 365 groups which can also be moved from one repository to another, however this option was not available with the first release of the tool.

I decided to update the tool to a newer version to support all 3 options:

• User
• Group
• Sites

Besides having the “migrate” option, I also added an easy option to delete data (be careful though).

The script is available via GitHub. Keep in mind it is released under the MIT license so you can modify it as you want but use it with caution.
