The Veeam Agent for Windows has come a long way helping you in creating a backup for physical and cloud Windows servers. Veeam just released v2.1 which has some interesting features to improve availability of your workloads.

The upgrade process is seamless as you can download the setup file which will recognize the present installtion and upgrade it to build 2.1.0.423.

What’s new?

• • Veeam Agents for Microsoft Windows can now be managed via a Veeam Backup & Replication server running 9.5 update 3.
  • Windows Server Failover Cluster suppor: Veeam Agent for Microsoft Windows now supports clusters.
  • Changed Block Tracking driver for server workloads: This optional driver improves backup performance on servers.
  • Direct back up to Microsoft OneDrive: You can now send Workstations backups directly to Microsoft OneDrive (both OneDrive Personall and OneDrive for Business).
